What to do with many domains?
« on: May 15, 2022, 01:41:52 pm »
Hey everyone.

I develop a number of sites and am now looking to learn the marketing and SEO side of things (so I may be around a bit asking lots of questions - apologies from the outset!)

A friend of mine has 14 car domains which he is looking to utilise. What I wanted to know was what is the best option for them so that they can be indexed by the SE's.

He wants to keep them all at the same hosting company, but would it be better to keep them as separate sites (They won't be very big sites, at most they'll have a handful of pages on them) or have 13 as aliases which point/auto direct to the main one.

Hope you can help and thanks in advance

To put it simply, multiple domain hosting is the ability to host more than one domain, and sometimes many domains, from one single hosting account. Multiple domain hosting accounts are like limited reseller accounts that provide tools for adding domains and setting up disk and bandwidth quotas. Such plans can cost little more than single-site plans. The critical issue will be the resource limitations that the plans offer.

4 Benefits of Having Multiple Domains.         I only use my branded domain name.  1) Google likes to see multiple websites on different domains, they will give you more credit for having more.. 2) The Google Authorship that shows in search results is also different depending on which domain and URL you use, they will give you more credit for having more.. 3) The author and article metadata that shows in search results is changes based on which domain and URL you use, they will give you more credit for having more.. 4) Having multiple domains gets your sites into more search engines like yahoo, bing etc.. than just using your one Amazon store or a single domain name.
