As I know It is Extensible Application Markup Language, , is an XML-based markup language developed by Microsoft. XAML is the language behind the visual presentation of an application that you develop in Microsoft Expression Blend, just as HTML is the language behind the visual presentation of a Web page.  But whatever language you used you should always take care of secdevops, so that there will be no space for vulnerabilities.

XAML is a declarative markup language typically used to create an application's user interface. It got its start in 2006 when Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) was introduced as part of the .NET Framework 3.0.

What is XAML?

AML, which stands for eXtensible Application Markup Language, is Microsoft's variant of XML for describing a GUI. In previous GUI frameworks, like WinForms, a GUI was created in the same language that you would use for interacting with the GUI, e.g. C# or VB.NET and usually maintained by the designer (e.g. Visual Studio), but with XAML, Microsoft is going another way. Much like with HTML, you are able to easily write and edit your GUI.

This is not really a XAML tutorial, but I will briefly tell you about how you use it, because it's such an essential part of WPF. Whether you're creating a Window or a Page, it will consist of a XAML document and a CodeBehind file, which together creates the Window/Page. The XAML file describes the interface with all its elements, while the CodeBehind handles all the events and has access to manipulate with the XAML controls.

In the next chapters, we will have a look at how XAML works and how you use it to create your interface.

Extensible Application Markup Language (XAML /ˈzæməl/ (About this sound listen)) is a declarative XML-based language developed by Microsoft that is used for initializing structured values and objects.
XAML is used extensively in .NET Framework 3.0 & .NET Framework 4.0 technologies, particularly Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), Silverlight, Windows Workflow Foundation (WF), Windows Runtime XAML Framework and Windows Store apps. In WPF, XAML forms a user interface markup language to define UI elements, data binding, events, and other features. In WF, workflows can be defined using XAML. XAML can also be used in Silverlight applications, Windows Phone apps and Windows Store apps.  By the way whatever language you use you should always use disaster recovery plan with it to protect your data from all kind of problems.
